We have located your misplaced snowfall for the beginning of 2010. Unfortunately it was delivered to the Washington, DC metropolitan area in a horrible, tragic, and city-crippling mix-up.

Please accept our deepest apologies for this dreadful mistake. Currently the staff and I are under fierce attack from the residents of DC, so we are unable to relocate the snow appropriately. If you send your shipping containers out to the east coast to retrieve your snow, we will gladly reimburse you for the shipping cost.

Another day snowed it, so I looked up the Pasta ziti recipe I made a while back and decided to go the pizza route.

Trader Joes Penne Noodles

White Onion (yellow onion in pic was bad)

Pepperoni’s

Classico Tomato Basil sauce

HT shredded cheese (added at the end)

I layered the ingredients into the crockpot and put it on high for 80 minutes, than moved it to low for an hour.  As always the pasta on the sides burned.  The pasta is a little dry tho i added water twice through the cooking process.   Next time, more water, more seasoning, and low heat.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THIS AFTERNOON. LIFE THREATENING BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE OCCURRING ACROSS THE REGION AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY EVENING. THE MARYLAND STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION IS URGING ALL MARYLAND DRIVERS TO STAY OFF THE ROADS DUE TO THE EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE CITY OF BALTIMORE HAS IMPLEMENTED PHASE III OF THEIR SNOW PLAN… WHICH MEANS THAT ONLY EMERGENCY VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON THE ROAD.

My Fed job let me telecommute today in anticipation for another snow storm in the DC metro area.  As I type this they are estimating 20-30 inches.

Snow started around 11am…Sam has shoveled a couple times…the snow plow came around and put a huge pile in front of the canoe – so I went and shoveled it to the lot again.

I bought a “sled” at Home Depot.  I baked some carmel rolls for breakfast and some pre-prepared cookies.  I also made roast, potatoes and carrots in the crock pot.  YUM!
