New with me
I went to New York City with my BFFL Susann ~Picture is taken of Manhattan from the Empire State building~. We were touring maniacs – Empire State Building, Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, shopping on Bleeker Street and we almost got on the “Live with Regis and Kelly show” (I don’t wanna talk about it).
Meredith taught me the purl stitch =) at the beginning of May. I finished my green scarf this past Tuesday. Yay.
I am voting for Kris for the season finale of American Idol.
I am addicted to Twitter.
2009 Joint Service Airshow
Airshow play by play =)
We left Alexandria at 10am. After parking at FedEx Field, we went through security. We stood in line to board a bus that would take us to Andrews Air Force Base. We got to the base around 11:30am.
We toured big planes. We were inside and saw the guns of the airplane that shoot at the scorpion in Transformers. I ate a $7 burger with a $3 bottle of water. The sun came out around 1pm. We saw several air entertainment acts. We saw/heard a F-18 break the sound barrier. The Thunderbirds were my favorite. I’m very proud of the photo I took above.
We saw the F-22 do some crazy stuff. It also flew with a 810 and P-51. The last act was a parachuter that jumps out of a plane with a 5000 sq. ft. American flag – he unravels it on the way down. The large flag got twisted, but he was able to unravel and display it before landing.
We got in line for the busses at 5:17pm. The buses were not on top of their game – we waited for over an hour before we even got on a bus – it started to rain just before we got on a bus – luckily we had an umbrella. We got to FedEx Field just after 6:30pm. Getting out of FedEx field took a little bit, but once we hit the beltway – we made it to Applebees around 7:20pm.
Sam and I ended up both getting burned – we thought it was going to be cloudy all day. The sun did show its face for about 4 hours.
