2009 National Book Festival

Sam and I arrived a tad bit later than planned – got to the signing tents at 12:30pm.  John Irving was signing between 12-1.  He extended it about 15 minutes – but the line was just too long.  It started to sprinkle while I waited in line to see David Baldacci.  As you can see by the photo-I got the book signed and a picture with him!  Book sales tent was sold out of Lois Lowry books, so we got some cinnamon roasted almonds & some Target bags and left.
Lessons learned: only plan for one author per signing block and buy all books the day before.

iPhone

After waiting 2 years, 2 months, and 21 days, Sam and I switched to AT&T and each got the iPhone.
All my electronics have a name, so after some careful consideration, my iPhone’s name is Tilt (named from the radar aimer in airplanes).
